Gary carps on about 30lb catch

knobby-big-fish-30lb-01.jpg

Playing around on the bank with his tackle has finally paid off for Gary Humphrey who bagged a brace of mirror carp last weekend. The first one weighing in at a very tidy 22lb and the second at a massive 30lb which can be seen in the picture.

The fish caught in the Hastings area whilst Gary was on a short caravaning holiday mark a personal best for him and we all hope that he can now take some rest and get to bed at a normal time instead of staying out all night burning duracell batteries on his forehead!

Well done Gary but any chance of catching something that we can eat next time?

It’s a BOY

cimg8937.JPGGeorge Alan John Cobb is his name and he weighed in at 7,8.

So that makes Barry & Alan joint winners of nearest the weight and Shane & Knobby winners of the correct gender.

Everybody else thought it was going to be a girl!

Baby Cobb FINALLY arrives!

cimg89381.JPGAt 8.40pm on 13th August baby Cobb finally arrived safely at Epsom General Hospital and I am pleased to report that both Mother and baby are doing fine. No further details in respect of weight and sex will be declared just yet due to the following outstanding matter:-

Some of our staff have entered into a Sweepstake of which there were 3 bets:-

  1. Predict the DOB
  2. Nearest the Weight
  3. Gender (sex)

I can only confirm at this point that nobody predicted the correct DOB, although Alan Johnson was very close indeed. In view of this all bets placed on the DOB are now nul ‘n’ void and the money collected will now be split between the two remaining bets i.e. weight and sex

Should anybody else wish to place further bets on these two outcomes they should write their names and choices on the betting slip in the Angel Plastics kitchen at Unit 4. Each bet will cost a pound

To give you all a further chance I am pleased to attach the above picture of .?.?.?.?. Cobb so that you can try and work it out yourself, best of luck (click to enlarge the pic)

All bets close Friday at 5pm
